GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Ragdoll is a cat breed with blue eyes and a distinct colour-point coat. It is a large and muscular semi-longhair cat with a soft and silky coat. Like all long haired cats, Ragdolls need grooming to ensure their fur does not mat.tabby cat coat, scottish fold kitten, playful kittens, interesting facts about tabby cats, ragdoll kitten, tabby cat facts Developed by American breeder Ann Baker in the 1960s, it is best known for its docile and placid temperament and affectionate nature. The name "Ragdoll" is derived from the tendency of individuals from the original breeding stock to go limp and relaxed when picked up. Particularly popular in both the United Kingdom and the breed's native United States, ragdoll cats often are known as "dog-like cats" or "puppy-like cats" due to behaviors such as their tendency to follow people around and their ease at being physically handled.kitten, lynx, kitty, female, kittens, tabby, beautiful, seal lynx point siamese kitten for sale, cute kittens, siamese lynx point kitten, blue lynx ragdoll cat, blue, blue tabby, siamese, tabby cat (animal breed),fluffy kitten, adoptable kitte, garfield tabby cat, tabby cat markings,
DESCRIPTION
The Ragdoll is one of the largest domesticated cat breeds, with a sturdy body, large frame, and proportionate legs. A fully-grown female weighs from 8 to 15 pounds (3.6 to 6.8 kg). Males are substantially larger, ranging from 12 to 20 pounds (5.4 to 9.1 kg) or more. The genes for point coloration are responsible for the blue eyes of the Ragdoll. More intense shades of blue are favored in cat shows. Although the breed has a plush coat, it consists mainly of long guard hairs, while the lack of a dense undercoat results, according to the Cat Fanciers' Association, in "reduced shedding and matting". grumpy cat breed, cattery, norwegian, kuwait, forest, ulvika, playing, cymric cat, petfinder, british blue, british longhair, british shorthair, british blue 4 weeks, dogs, british blue longhair, kitty, animals, pet, meow

PERSONALITY
The Ragdoll is marketed by breeders as having a docile, calm and floppy nature with claims that these characteristics have been passed down from the Persian and Birman breeds. Opinions vary as to whether this trait might be the result of genetic mutation. The extreme docility of some individuals has led to the myth that Ragdolls are pain resistant. Breed standard marketing and publicity material describe the Ragdoll as affectionate, intelligent, relaxed in temperament, gentle, and an easy-to-handle lap cat. The animals are often known as "puppy cats", "dog-like cats", "cat-dogs", etc., because of their placid nature and affectionate behavior, with the cats often following owners from room to room as well as seeking physical affection akin to certain dog breeds. Ragdolls can be trained to retrieve toys and enjoy doing so.

Opinions vary as to whether this trait might be the result of genetic mutation. The extreme docility of some individuals has led to the myth that Ragdolls are pain resistant. Some breeders in Britain have tried to breed away from the limpness owing to concerns that extreme docility "might not be in the best interests of the cat".[11][13]

Health
One study utilizing Swedish insurance data showed that of the common cat breeds, the Ragdoll and Siamese have the lowest survival rate. They live 12 to 15 years. This study indicates the Ragdoll may have a significantly higher number of cats that die of urinary problems, mainly from kidney/ureter issues, but also partly from lower urinary issues. Whether this is an issue outside Finland, Sweden, or Denmark is unclear. Ragdoll cats require regular grooming to ensure that their fur does not mat, as with most long-haired cat breeds; some breeders recommend bathing once a month.

My son has been taking care of the neighbor’s cats and then he started liking them and wanted his own. My three kids also asked me for a cats and wanted a Christmas gift. We went first to New Jersey where they were giving cats for adoption. But, those cats didn’t get along with my kids, so we had to go over to brisbaneragdollkittens store.
It was easy to pick out a puppy because they have a lot of beautiful cats and kittens over there. But if we want something good, we have to spend money. My kids got close to a beagle. They wanted one for each one, but I can't afford to get so many. So we decided to get the beagle. Because we never had a kittens or cat, brisbaneragdollkittens Kittens has helped us a lot in telling me about how to take care of the kittens. They also gave us a CD, books, and a nice doctor who would explain anything we want to know. So whatever we want to know, we ask.
We named the cat Peter Barker because he barks so much and one of my sons likes Spiderman while the my other girl likes Peter Pan. I'm in love with that little guy. Every time I come in, he comes out and starts moving the stairs. It's very nice to have some new life in our family. Everybody watches the cat eat and looks for him many times a day. They're very busy with that cat.

We bought a Ragdoll Blue kitten from brisbaneragdollkittens because we were looking for this specific breed. We walked into the store and it was clean. My wife then started looking at all the different kittens. She found a couple that she liked, so they set us up in the little playpen they had. They gave us as much time as we needed and they answered any questions my wife had. When we decided we would like to purchase a kitten, they walked us basically through everything, all the paper works and setting up the first vet appointment. They made it really, really easy.
We were very happy with the store, the salespeople, and the fact that the vets were covering for the first year. When we wanted a second cat to keep it company, we came back to get a second cat. The animals we got were healthy. Both cats, both the male and the female we got, have been the most affectionate cats we've ever seen. They like to just sit on your lap or on your shoulder.

I have been wanting a cat for some time now, and brisbaneragdollkittens was the name given by a friend of mine who lives in the area. I walked around the store, saw a cat that I was interested in, and they allowed me to spend some time and interact with the cats. I got a Cavachon, and he’s the best. It’s a lot of responsibility though. It’s pretty much taking care of something else besides myself day-to-day. But nonetheless, I had the best experience with brisbaneragdollkittens.
